Stone paper is like regular paper, only better. Unlike ordinary paper, stone paper is waterproof and tear-resistant, and there is no ink bleeding when writing.
Stone paper is brighter, smoother and more environmentally friendly than ordinary paper. The materials used to make stone paper are environmentally friendly and non-polluting, and do not contain trees, water, bleach, acids and toxic chemicals.
For ordinary pulp, producing one ton of traditional wood pulp paper usually requires 18 large trees, a lot of energy and 2770 liters of water.
The stone paper is mainly made of waste scraps and crushed stones of the mining and construction industry. The calcium carbonate used is 80% -90%. Calcium carbonate is one of the most abundant substances in the world.
Recycling conventional pulp paper is also limited to multiple cycles. Traditional paper can only be recycled up to 7 times, and each recycling requires additional virgin fiber. Natural forests are often cut and burned to plant non-native, fast-growing trees. Stone paper produces no waste—in production or in the end product—and can be recycled indefinitely, making it the smarter paper choice.
The stone paper is made from calcium carbonate bonded with high-density polyethylene(HDPE)
